Winterlightball

The Winter Light Ball website was launched at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham on Monday 22nd September in a blaze of publicity. It was supported by RTE broadcaster Miriam O'Callaghan, actress Aisling O'Neill and writer John Waters. The organisers were delighted by the presence of Irene Enright, Rusty Harrison, Therese Kiely, Ann Mooney and Dolores Flood, all who have lived with cancer and were keen to support the event. ICORG was represented by CEO Dr Brian Moulton, ex-chair Professor John Crown and incoming chair Dr Paul Browne.

The media turned out in force and coverage appeared in Tuesday's editions of The Independent, The Examiner, the Irish Daily Mail, The Irish Sun, Evening Herald and Herald am. City Channel sent a film crew and Today FM gave it a mention.

Refreshments at our launch were kindly sponsored by EMS for which we are most grateful.
